§ 1 Scope and Contracting Party
These Terms of Service apply to the use of the FinanzKlar web platform (available at www.finanzklar.at) and all associated services of FinanzKlar GmbH, Mariahilfer Straße 123, 1060 Vienna, Austria (hereinafter "Provider").
The contracting party is any natural person who creates a user account (hereinafter "User"). These Terms apply exclusively to consumers.
§ 2 Description of Services
FinanzKlar is a browser-based SaaS (Software as a Service) application for personal household management and budget tracking. The service includes:
- Manual recording of expenses and income
- Categorisation and analysis of household data
- Monthly and annual reports
- Household budget management and budget alerts
- Family accounts (Family plan: up to 5 users)
- Data export as PDF and Excel (Family plan only)
FinanzKlar is not a financial advisory or financial services product. We are not an investment firm and do not provide investment advice. All analyses shown in the service are solely for private household overview purposes.
§ 3 Registration and User Account
3.1 Registration
Use of FinanzKlar requires a free registration. The user provides their first name, email address and a password. By submitting the registration form and accepting these Terms, a contract is formed between the user and the Provider.
3.2 User Obligations
- The user must be at least 18 years old.
- The email address provided must be correct and belong to the user.
- The password must be kept confidential and protected from third-party access.
- The user is responsible for all activities under their account.
§ 4 Free Trial and Pricing
4.1 Trial Period
All new users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to the Family plan. No credit card is required for the trial period.
4.2 Plans and Prices
- Basic (free): 1 user, 50 expenses/month, no export function
- Family (€ 4.90/month): 5 users, unlimited expenses, all features. Annual billing: € 58.80 once. Monthly billing: € 5.90/month.
All prices include the applicable Austrian VAT (20%).
§ 5 Payment and Billing
Payments are processed via Stripe Inc. Accepted payment methods: credit card (Visa, Mastercard), SEPA direct debit. Billing occurs automatically at the start of each billing period.
§ 6 Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal
6.1 Ordinary Cancellation
The user may cancel their subscription at any time at the end of the current billing period — directly in the account section or by email to [email protected]. No minimum contract term applies.
6.2 Consumer Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the date of conclusion of the contract. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by means of an unambiguous statement (e.g. by email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract.

§ 7 Availability and Maintenance
The Provider strives for 99.5% availability on an annual average. Maintenance work is carried out where possible during night hours (22:00–06:00 CET). No legal right to uninterrupted availability exists.
§ 8 Privacy
The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
§ 9 Limitation of Liability
The Provider is liable without limitation for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health, and for intentional or grossly negligent conduct. Otherwise, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage. Liability for the financial success of the user's household planning is excluded.
§ 10 Amendments to Terms
The Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms with future effect. Users will be informed of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If the user does not object within 30 days of receipt of the notification, the new Terms are deemed accepted.
§ 11 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Austrian law applies exclusively, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For disputes with consumers, the law of the consumer's country of residence applies if it is more favourable to the consumer.
The place of jurisdiction for consumers is the consumer's general place of jurisdiction or, at the consumer's choice, the court at the Provider's registered office (Vienna, Austria).
